Dr. Mary McCalla
Dr. Mary R. McCalla has been caring for pediatric and adult patients for more than twenty years. Our goal is to provide you with the best and most up-to-date care possible. Our physician and certified technicians are available to answer any questions and assist you in maintaining your health. We hope this brochure will help you in becoming familiar with our practice. Dr. McCalla is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist (a physician which deals with the diseases of the Ear, Nose and Throat), a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an Associate Member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. McCalla received her Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences. Dr. McCalla has privileges at all hospitals in the Methodist / LeBonheur Hospital System, The Baptist Hospital Healthcare System, as well as multiple surgical centers. She is a member of the University of Tennessee Voluntary Staff and regularly teaches UT otolaryngology residents. Dr. McCalla has served as Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology for Methodist Hospital and President of the Memphis Society of Otolaryngology.
Allergy Nurse
Mrs. Bobby Cantrell
Mrs. Cantrell brings over 40 years of allergy experience to the McCalla Clinic. She joined the clinic in 2006 and provides consultation to the patients regarding possible causes and treatment of their allergy symptoms. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, our patients can schedule allergy tests and / or receive their allergy shots. Mrs. Bobby always says:"Remember ... allergies are nothing to sneeze at."
Terrye Mastin
Many people who have allergy and sinus issues also have asthma. We are now offering asthma evaluation and management, including pulmonary function testing, individualized asthma treament plans, regular followups, and work-in appointments for those times when asthma flares. Our Nurse Practitioner has over 15 years of pulmonary experience, with nine of those focused on asthma and allergy care. Our goals in treating your asthma are to:- minimize the impact it has on your daily activities,
exercise, and sleep needs
- minimize any permanent damage that can occur
- teach you to manage your asthma and its symptoms
using personalized action plans
- work in partnership with you to maximize your respiratory health
